Sebastian - Chief Bee
I’m Sebastian Galbraith-Helps, and I’m the business head behind HoneyTree, the bespoke stationery boutique I founded with my wife, the artist Lizbeth Holstein. I’m passionate about creating the best possible product for our customers, which leaves a lasting impression on all those who see it.
I want the stationery we create at HoneyTree to bring a little bit more joy and heartfelt communication into the world. It’s my job to help the creative team make this happen!
I’m passionate about the customer, and strive to make sure that every element of HoneyTree is easy, pleasurable and satisfying to use. I have a clear idea of who our customers are and what they want from their stationery. I know that they take delight in great quality, that they are creative and love great design, and that they are ready for wonderful things to happen, each and every day. Very much like all of us at HoneyTree!
I love online businesses and the e commerce experience. This started by setting up our holiday rentals business in Mallorca in 1996 – when we were the 3rd property on OwnersDirect.com!
When I’m not working, you might find me wild swimming with Lizbeth, or perhaps popping into various student art and design shows to see what's buzzing. While mowing the lawn I love to listen to cricket; in the winter months It’s up to Bath for the Rugby. I find any excuse I can to pop up to London, so I can hang out with our rather grown up children who both work in the creative arts.

Soon after we relocated from Mallorca to Cape Town (2004) for my tennis holiday business, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which is a form of leukemia. Through sheer chance, we found ourselves at the global epicenter for research and work in blood disease, so within four weeks of arriving, the fight began! My family and I owe everything to the amazing staff at the Constantiaberg Hospital in Cape Town and Vitality health Insurance. This is also why we work with the Anthony Nolan Trust – we donate 20p from each of our personalised Christmas cards to ‘Find a match, Save a life’.
2007 - Cycling in the world's largest timed race. Cape Town 110 km, wind, hills, and a lot of money raised for the Bone Marrow registry
If you ever need a tennis partner, I’m your man! For 22 years I coached tennis all over the planet, including 7 players who competed in the main draw at Wimbledon. I also coached a few who are less known for their prowess on the court (Cliff Richard and Richard Branson, to name just two) and over 7,000 wonderful people who joined our tennis academies and tennis holidays.

We’re lucky enough to live right by the Glastonbury festival site, so we look forward to the revelries every year. I might spend several weeks working on my festival wardrobe… maybe I should be on the creative team after all!
